The Friends agreed to co-ordinate the opening of the Telephone Museum for the 2006 season and beyond, depending on finance being available.
Following the States decision not to reopen the Museum in 2006 due to budget constraints, The Friends agreed a grant to cover the costs of opening, and arranged stewards who have provided their time to keep this valuable history of Guernsey telecommunications open to the public.
The museum has been closed for the winter, but re-opened on the 2nd April for the 2007 season until the end of September.
Note: The Museum is now closed for the winter. Watch this space and the Museum Services' announcements for details of opening in 2008.
